Breed Standards

The Fédération Cynologique Internationale is the international peak organisation for dogs. The Australian National Kennel Council is a member of the FCI. The FCI and ANKC produce breed standards for recognised breeds.

As an ethical breeder, we only breed dogs that meet these standards.

The Breed standards for our breeds can be found here.

Recognised breed, Registered breeder?

The number one question we get asked is. Why buy a recognised breed from a registered breeder? The answer is both simple and complex.

Buy from a ANKC registered breeder.
When you deal with an ANKC registered breeder you have the best chance of ensuring you are getting what you pay for. As a member of Dogs NSW, our kennels are independently inspected and we have completed breeder training.

Buy a recognised breed.

The short answer is not all dogs are equal. Genetics and temperament are controlled by selective breeding. When you cross-breed dogs you have now way of knowing what you will get. For every success story of crossbreeds, there are 100s of unhappy endings.
