Applications, offers, contracts and payment are all handled through RightPaw. This page explains how the process runs and what governs this website. The contract for the sale of a dog is issued to you in writing through RightPaw, before you pay anything.

001 · THE PROCESS
Six steps, and nothing is owed until step four.

Step one
Ring us
No obligation, no application. Ask whatever you want about the breeds, our dogs, our testing or what we are planning. Most people should start here.

Step two
Apply through RightPaw
Applications are lodged on our RightPaw listing. Their form asks the questions that need asking, and it gives you a record of where you stand rather than a promise over the phone. Lodging one costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Step three
We talk properly
Messaging runs through the RightPaw platform, and we will usually want a phone call as well. We match dogs to households, not in queue order. We will tell you honestly if we do not think one of our dogs suits your circumstances.

Step four
A written offer, with the contract
If we have a puppy for you, we issue a formal offer through RightPaw. It sets out the puppy, the price, the deposit, the refund terms and the contract of sale. Read it before you pay anything. Nothing is binding on either of us before this point.

Step five
Deposit, then balance
You can pay us directly or use RightPaw Pay, which holds funds and releases the deposit once the puppies are born and the balance at pick-up. RightPaw Pay is optional, carries a small fee, and comes with their protection and dispute support. We are happy either way.

Step six
Pick-up, and then the rest of the dog’s life
No puppy leaves before eight weeks — that is the law in Australia, not our preference. It goes home microchipped, vaccinated and wormed to age, vet checked, with its registration papers, our information pack and our phone number.
Where the contract lives. RightPaw does not write breeders’ contracts and does not standardise them. The contract you receive is ours, issued through their platform so that you have it in writing, timestamped, before any money changes hands. If anything in it is unclear, ring us and ask — do not sign it and hope.
002 · VERIFICATION
What “RightPaw Verified” actually means.
It is not a logo we bought. To list on RightPaw a breeder must meet their Code of Ethics, and their verification includes checking health test records, confirming breeding practices, a call with their team, and confirming membership and identification numbers with the state registering body and local council.
In other words: somebody other than us has looked at our Dogs NSW membership, our breeder identification number and our health testing, and checked that what we say is true. That is the reason applications go through them rather than through a form on this website.
You should still check us yourself. Our numbers are published on the contact page for exactly that purpose.
003 · WHAT WE PROMISE
Two commitments that are not in any contract’s fine print.
Lifetime support
For the life of the dog
Ring us at two weeks or at ten years. The offer does not expire when the puppy is paid for, and it does not depend on you having bought recently.
We will take a dog back
Unconditional
If you buy a dog from us and you can no longer care for it, we will take care of it. It does not matter how long you have had it or why your circumstances changed.
Contact us first. Do not surrender one of our dogs to a pound, sell it privately, or advertise it online without speaking to us.
004 · WHAT WE DO NOT PROMISE
We breed to the standard and we test what can be tested. Both parents of every litter are DNA tested and hip and elbow screened, and we will send you the results before you commit to anything. What we cannot guarantee:
- That a dog will win in the show ring, or gain any title
- That a dog will perform to any particular level in gundog, obedience or field work
- Adult size, markings or colour beyond the range normal for the breed
- Temperament outcomes where the dog has not been trained, exercised and socialised as set out in our guides
A great deal of how a dog turns out is what happens after it leaves here. That is not a disclaimer — it is why we publish training and feeding guides and answer the phone for the life of the dog.
005 · YOUR OBLIGATIONS
What we expect of you
The full obligations are in the contract. In summary:
- Keep the dog registered and its microchip details current, as required by the Companion Animals Act 1998 (NSW) or the equivalent in your state
- Provide daily exercise, training, veterinary care and shelter appropriate to a high-energy gundog
- Comply with any registration or breeding restrictions set out in the contract
- Tell us if the dog develops a significant health condition — we need to know for the breed, and we will want to help
006 · ADVERTISING AND THE LAW
Under NSW law, an advertisement offering a dog for sale or rehoming must include the animal’s microchip number together with the breeder identification number. Our BIN is B001009350. Individual microchip numbers are published against each puppy when a litter is advertised.
007 · YOUR RIGHTS UNDER AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Nothing on this page, in our contract, or in any statement we make excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where anything conflicts with those rights, those rights prevail.

- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
- If any part is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- We may update this page. The version that governs a sale is the contract issued with your offer.
- Talk to us before you escalate anything. Most problems are a phone call.
